Transformation (02.21.2021)
We are people who live by stories - stories from family, culture, religion, etc. In many cases these stories or narratives are false and hold us in bondage. They are based on lies we have been taught or that we caught from being around others. The good news is that Jesus has new narratives that are based in truth. A big part of discipleship is transforming our old narratives to Jesus’ narratives. “I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” - Romans 12:1-2 ESV
