We have an amazing ability to mess things up by being blind to our own shortcomings and thinking that we can truly change by our own strength. God created humans to live in community to help us all keep pride and perfectionism in check. This is often difficult and painful for us as we become more aware of our own failures and shortcomings. Though we don’t often do this naturally, humbly seeking help from others can allow God’s grace to flow into our otherwise messy lives. A Christ-centered community is God’s way to humility, growth, and love.
