Elijah had a great heart for God.  However, his zeal led him to be burned out, discouraged, and want to quit on God. An encounter with God away from the whirlwind of life brought amazing changes. We will look at the story of Elijah to see how God works with those who just want to give up.

“But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness and came and sat down under a broom tree. And he asked that he might die, saying, ‘It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life, for I am no better than my fathers.” And he lay down and slept under a broom tree.’” – 1 Kings 19:4-5a ESV
