There are many voices calling for our attention, but only God will satisfy. We are not to love the world or the things in the world, but need to appreciate every good thing as a gift from the perfect gift giver. The perfect gift is the death and resurrection of Jesus who brings us into a life giving relationship with Him. Anything else we may desire that doesn’t bring us into a closer walk with Jesus is idolatry that leads to death.
